This warranty is available for individual purchase and is applicable to specific categories, including air conditioners and heat pumps, air handers, evaporator coils, compressors and furnaces. While we confidently expect our equipment to perform flawlessly, we understand that uncertainties can arise. What does Qualified item Mean?
Any item in the above category that is not:
1) In our scratch n dent section
2) Already covered via an existing factory warranty
How much does this warranty cost?
$30 per unit you wish to have covered
Does this warranty cover any other charges?
No this warranty does not cover labor or refrigerant or parts etc only a guarantee of startup or a complete failure within the first 30 days from time of delivery.
Does this warranty cover natural disasters: such as flood, hurricane, tornado, lightening, power grid surges etc?
No these occurrences although unfortunate, are no fault of Surplus City or the Manufacturer and thus will not be covered.
What Happens if the replacement unit doesn’t work either?
You only get one replacement unit per warranty purchased
Will one warranty cover all items on my order?
No, a warranty would need to be purchased on each item that you wish to be covered that fits the qualifications.
When does the warranty start?
The warranty time begins at time of delivery not time of installation
What Happens if within those first 30 days my installer deems it inoperable or a problem arises with it?
You and your licensed HVAC contractor will be asked to contact our customer service representative to allow us to verify some information and make sure your unit matches our records. Please make sure before contacting us that you have your installers/tech diagnosis, in writing! We cannot process without this written communication.
Customer service will verify:
1. The item is not as described or represented or
2. The item doesn't work.
Returns are not applicable in the following scenarios:
1. Buyer’s remorse.
2. The item does not fit your application.
3. Installation was attempted without a professional, certified HVAC Technician. We do not recommend using anybody but a certified HVAC professional for any installation project.
4. Tampering with factory seals separate from installation (theft, property dmg) disqualifies the item
5. Items are already covered under a manufacturer’s warranty program.
If your item is deemed eligible our customer service team will process a return authorization number and begin processing a replacement item for shipping. If we no longer have stock of your item a monetary refund will be issued to either your account or your original form of payment.
Returns without prior authorization will be rejected and your refund will not be processed.
If your item was damaged during shipping this does not qualify for warranty replacement (see below for further instructions).
What do I do if I receive damaged goods?
We work hard to ensure that all items are received in good condition, and if you've received a damaged item, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. STOP and do not sign the BOL or other paperwork. Reject the shipment if it has arrived damaged and it will automatically be returned to us at no cost to you. Notify us of what has happened, and we will work to get a replacement or similar item out to you as quickly as possible.
